Prefer to keep compliance in-house? We can provide extensive, on-the-ground training for your team, including:
- Familiarization with federal campaign finance laws, as it pertains to contributions and disbursements, reporting, and fundraising
- Bookkeeping skills/QuickBooks Online training
- NGP training
- Day-to-day operations of a functional compliance department, including processes and procedures for accurately tracking information
- How to close the books for the month/reporting period and reconcile to NGP
- Run a mock report to train staff how to best edit prior to filings
- Work with staff to establish financial procedures that meet or exceed the FEC’s safe harbor recommendations
All trainings includes access to our team for one month to answer any questions or concerns you may have.
Audits
We have experience conducting internal audits to help your team get back on track. We have worked with committees who have come to us with cash-on-hand discrepancies they needed to unearth, as well as committees who’ve received Requests for Additional Information from the FEC that they weren’t sure how to answer. We’ll go through all of your financials, identify potential issues, and work side by side with your team to get them fixed. We will also work with the FEC to help minimize any potential fines for misreporting.
We have also worked with clients who are in the midst of an FEC audit. We have experience working closely with FEC to provide the information they need and correct the record. The FEC’s audit spreadsheets are complicated – and it’s our job to help you decipher them.
