Native to Virginia, Courtney graduated from Virginia Wesleyan University with a BA in Social Science with her primary concentration in Criminal Justice and her secondary concentrations in Psychology and Social Welfare. Prior to working at CCA, Courtney worked as a Research Associate at VoteSmart and interned for various non-profits and elected officials like Former Congresswomen Elaine Luria and Texas State Senator Roland Gutierrez. She has also volunteered for many organizations like Rebuilding Alliance and the Lemkin Institute for Genocide Prevention. In her spare time, she likes to play video games, read books, and continue her advocacy volunteering for different groups.
