The Position

We are seeking a reliable self-starter to help ensure seamless day-to-day operations for our firm. The position is an exciting mix of facilities management, human resources, and IT. High attention to detail is required as specific processes and instructions must be followed. Excellent communication skills are also a must as this position will serve with a hybrid team. The right candidate is also very organized in order to maintain all of the different moving parts of the organization.

The candidate must reside within a commutable distance of the Washington, D.C. office or be willing to relocate as physical presence is required every day, Monday through Friday.

The salary range for this position is $55,000 – $59,999.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Administrative Duties

  • Builds rapport and trust with compliance staff while executing tasks for clients, such as mailings, check pick-ups, and other related errands. Must be able to walk distances up to a mile around the neighborhood.
  • Processes office mail daily and deposits contributions. This requires high attention to detail and proactive communication with team members.
  • Helps to answer the main phone line and directs calls to the appropriate employee.

Facilities Duties

  • Helps to ensure a safe working environment for employees. This involves communicating when maintenance requests are needed and helping to coordinate service.
  • Ensures supplies are fully stocked around the office and communicates when supplies are depleted.
  • Aids in troubleshooting office equipment and works to coordinate the resolution of any issues.
  • Needs to be able to lift moderately sized office equipment.

Human Resources Duties

  • Supports COO and Operations Manager with employee onboarding and offboarding, as necessary.
  • Helps to coordinate team building activities and care packages for staff.
Education and Experience

The successful candidate has experience handling mail and money in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills and reliability are essential.
